Code/Product Change Notice Processing System
CPPSysTM
The CLEI™ Code/Product Change
Notice (PCN) Processing System (CPPS) was
developed to be implemented at the Product
Management level within an organization that is
ISO9001/2000 compliant or working toward being
complaint. This system has been designed as a
collaborative effort between ComPro Consulting,
Inc. (
www.comproconsulting.com ) and
Collaborative Quality Systems to meet the
requirements of Telcordia™ GR-209, Generic
Requirements for Product Change Notices, and
Telcordia GR-485, COMMON LANGUAGE® Equipment
Coding Process and Guidelines Generic
Requirements. New users are encouraged to review
the CPPSysTM User Guide before
entering data.
Customer/Contact Database
Contact information can be manually entered or
ported from MS Outlook to CPPSys™ to
create contact records. The association that is
established between the company record, contact
record and associated part numbers list,
ensures that the appropriate contacts receive PCNs
each time a part changes.
The system provides reports that include a
Customer List, Customer Contact Detail and a
Customer Email Log.
CLEI Code Request Record
CPPSys™
uses GR-485
guidelines to select the information the user
inputs. The collected data is formatted and
emailed directly to Telcordia.
The system allows the user to attach supporting
documentation before the request for the CLEI is
sent. Until a response is received from Telcordia,
the record remains in pending status.
The user may select from several reports
including:
CLEI Code Request Listing, Open CLEI Code Request
Listing, CLEI Code Request Listing by Part Number
and Formatted CLEI Code Request
Automatically Transmits CLEI Code Requests to
Telcordia
Once the data has been entered a
CLEI Code Request
is
formatted, using GR-485 guidelines, and emailed to
Telcordia. This
formatted CLEI Code Request
can also be printed or emailed to anyone on the
contact list.
